ZokumBSP is an advanced node/blockmap/reject builder for Doom / Doom 2. Based on ZenNode 1.2.1. Full sources are hosted on GitHub and binaries are available from doom2.no.
ZokumBSP is a work in progress and is an advanced node builder with many experimental features that can be turned on. It is currently a slot-in replacement for ZenNode with additional features, bug fixes and conservative defaults.
The goal of the project was to enable the construction of bigger maps without losing compability with the classic DOS executables and Chocolate Doom. Most Doom ports should be able to play wads built with this tool just fine.
The original code was written by Marc Rousseau, then modified by Kim Roar Foldøy Hauge in 2016-2023.
14.09.2024 Added a Heretic map, tweaked some minor pages, worked on adding pages.
28.08.2024 Added some documentation pages, the Cacoward and many more wads to the new used by list.
13.08.2024 I have started reading up on the new Doom release's Id24 standard, it might be something I can at least partially support.
10.08.2024 Added the known bugs list and added three known issues. I have yet to go through the full list on GitHub.
10.08.2024 The Plan is to get it to build on a Visual Studio on my new laptop, making it a lot wasier to develop. The old environment was on a Linux VM that is currently down.
10.08.2024 I started work on adding more pages and documentation. It hasn't been made public yet. Work and real-life has taken up a lot of time in the past year(s). I occasionally search the web for posts about Zokumbsp and try to help with problems if it's not too much work. I will probably not register on a forum just to post one post.
